Gemini is the first of the Air signs of the Zodiac and is a member of the Mutable group of signs. They thrive on mental stimulation and are driven by a need to gather and disseminate ideas and information. They love to think, talk and debate and have show considerable versatility and adaptability.

Gemini people are interested in experiencing every possible perspective. They are sociable and find it easy to strike up conversation. Generally, the Gemini individual finds it hard to deal with silence. They have a real thirst for information and need to discover what it is that other people think and why.

They enjoy flitting from place to place taking news and ideas from one source and passing it on to others. They have to take care to be sure that they have listened to facts correctly. It is hard work for the Gemini person to discriminate. They can make fine journalists but to achieve success in this area they have to learn to focus. Gemini people love words. The Gemini need for mental stimulation is such that their nervous system can become over stressed. This can create difficulties. Other people have been known to describe those of this sign as highly strung. Difficult as it is for them, they do need time on their own to recharge their batteries.
